Our DIRECTOR
Khashane Manamela
Qualifications: B. A (Univen), LLB (Pret), and LLM (Tax Law) (Wits), LLM (Commercial Law) (Pret), Post Grad Diploma in Forensic and Investigative Accounting (Pret), and Master of Business Leadership (MBL) (UNISA)
Khashane Manamela is the founder and managing director of the firm with over 20 years legal and business experience since his admission as legal practitioner in 1996. He mainly practices in the fields of Corporate and Commercial Law; Commercial Litigation; Liquidation and Insolvency Law, and Tax Law. He holds two LLM degrees in Commercial law (including Insolvency and Liquidation Law) and Tax Law from the Universities of Pretoria and the Witwatersrand, respectively. He also has a Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree from the University of South Africa.
He worked in the commercial and litigation departments of established Johannesburg and Pretoria firms, before joining and working among others, the State Attorney’s Office (Pretoria). He has participated in various multi-million rand transactions, like the establishment of the Department of Trade and Industry Head-Office complex through a Public-Private Partnership; the corporatisation and privatisation of various Transnet entities.
He has been a member of the Companies Tribunal since 2011 and acting judge for various terms since 2013 in both the Gauteng Division (Pretoria) and Gauteng Local Division (Johannesburg) of the High Court of South Africa. He is also an accredited mediator and previously practised as an insolvency practitioner between 1998 and 2013.

Meriam Marobela
Qualifications: LLB (Pret), LLM (Corporate Law) (Pret)
Meriam Marobela is a director of the firm with over 13 years post admission experience. She holds LLB and LLM (Corporate Law) degrees from the University of Pretoria.
She trained as a candidate attorney at this firm, although she took a break from practice to join Discovery Holdings in Sandton, Johannesburg. She worked at Discovery as compliance officer for over two years at its corporate office, involved in various aspects of medical, insurance and health law.
Her areas of speciality is corporate law, commercial litigation and insolvency law.
